At the lecture we will look at one of the most interesting and relevant practices in the study of the urban and public environment - psychogeography. A term coined by French philosopher Guy Debord in the 1950s. We will learn about the history of the origin of this movement, and analyze the role of sensory perceptions in the formation of psychogeographical experience. Let’s study the concept of "egregor" and consider research methods: situationism, chance, drift, maps, books, phone applications.

We will also consider the role of sound in creating the atmosphere and emotional coloring of various places, including the principle of psychoacoustics, the creation of sound and sensory maps.
