An inclusive interactive performance tells about the great people who have achieved success in culture and sports, despite their vision problems - Louis Braille, Ray Charles, Claude Monet, Andrei Polukhin and Eduard. The performance format allows viewers to become equal participants in the process, to fully engage in the figurative world thanks to tactile, olfactory and auditory sensations.
Each viewer will try to write a picture to the touch, read with your fingers, describe the image on the relief drawing using only tactile sensations, guess the animal only by its shape and much more.
To convey the atmosphere of a particular scene, the authors use various techniques. For example, to show the enclosed space of an elevator, artists speak in megaphones directed and adjusted in a special way. And when the plot comes winter, the actors imitate a crunch of snow using bags of starch.
Author: Daria Vitan, Vasilisa Gaponenko. Director: Daria Vitan, Vasilisa Gaponenko. Composer: Veronica Zatula. Cast: Maxim Nedelko, Daria Vitan, Vasilisa Gaponenko.
The performance is interesting not only for people with visual impairments, but also for sighted people. Here you can immerse yourself in another reality — reality by touch. Get the opportunity to look at the world around you differently.
The project is being implemented as part of a competition of performances in the dark "Theater with closed eyes", organized by Alisher Usmanov’s charity foundation "Art, Science and Sport" in order to support people with visual impairment.
