For the first time in the city, from October 3 to 12, 2014 , an inter-museum project for children from zero to five years old will be held. “Kids in the city of Muz” is a bright, creative, unpredictable holiday for kids and their parents. Inquisitive residents of the city, many of whom are not even a year old, will go to the city of Muz - museums and galleries in order to plunge into the first months of life the unique atmosphere of the cultural space of St. Petersburg.

With the support of the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture, the creative team of the Art ParkING Center prepared a series of developmental classes and concerts, performances and interactive excursions. Each meeting is unique. Children will learn the basics of animation and draw cartoons under the direction of directors; Once in the theater, they can feel like an actor. And if the costume is small - “Theater on the palm” together with children will be created by wizards-teachers. The fairy-tale world can be seen through the prism of animated dolls, and the heroes of musical fairy tales will be waiting for children visiting the composer. From the first months, children, together with their parents, listen to high-class musicians at classical concerts with the playful name “Music in Sliders”, and those who are older will go with performers to the world of “Music Stories”. Over 10 days, master classes, interactive concerts, performances, developmental classes, competitions will be held.

Small museums are involved in the project, where families with young children are most likely to fall, usually located in remote areas of the city. The project “Kids in the City of Muses” unites seven museums, including the Museum-Apartment of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, the Museum-Apartment of Actors Samoilovs, the Museum “Narva Outpost”, the Museum “Nevskaya Zastava”, the House-Museum of F. I. Chaliapin, Children’s History Museum and Puppet Museum. The project involves teachers - specialists from different fields: musicians, artists, animators, psychologists, many of whom have a scientific degree, rich experience working with preschool children, diplomas of the best universities of the Russian Federation and prestigious continuing education courses.

St. Petersburg will be the first city to host a major museum project for children from 0 to 5 years old. This project will be a unique opportunity for many families to get acquainted with the culture of the city, museum exhibits and get advice on the full development of the child.

The official opening of the festival will take place on October 3 at 17.30 in the Museum-Apartment of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov at 28 Zagorodny Prospect. At 18.00 the premiere of the play “The Adventures of a Kitten in a Magic Forest” for the kids will be held in the same museum.

One of the halls of the Narva Zastava Museum temporarily turned into the Lost and Found. Unusual things have accumulated in it, and Bureau employees need help finding their owners. Will the program participants be able to find the place of each item on display, because they don’t see such items around them in the 21st century? What are these things, what are they called, who used them and when? Solving puzzles and studying drawings, the assistants of the Museum Lost and Found return items to their place and in due time, and in the end they can make an elegant old pen themselves. Each young assistant to the Museum Lost & Found receives a personal identification card!

The whole program is in verse. The host is the Museum Fairy, which in a playful way acquaints visitors with the exposition of the museum "Narva Outpost" - "The Magic Country where History lives." Children get acquainted with the history of St. Petersburg, the time of Peter the Great, the history of the Peterhof road, the activities of the mistress of the estate - Princess Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova. During the program, children perform many tasks: they solve poetic riddles about ancient household items, about things in the hall, about the house of the mistress of the estate Princess Dashkova. At the end of the lesson, the children are invited to get the antiques from the Magic Chest and determine what kind of thing it is and what it is for. At the end of the lesson, all children receive souvenirs.

Each author will receive as a gift a record of his cartoon. And having learned to do them with us, it will be possible to arrange a home studio.
