It was Europe that turned out to be that area of the world where, despite the influence of many external factors of a social, political, economic or cultural nature, there was a rapid process of development of architecture. Many great styles of different centuries coexist in Europe, and the evolutionary process continues to the present. The aim of this course is to study the experience of the last twenty years of European architecture. The material offered to the listeners will be structured geographically. “Passing” from the West to the North, East and South of Europe, the lecturer will focus on the most typical examples of modern architecture of public buildings in different European countries. Separate lectures will be devoted to narrower topics of religious and residential architecture, and the course will end with a conversation about the architecture of recent years and those challenges, faced by architects.
