The children’s opera Once Upon a Time in a Museum… was created specially for the A. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts by composer Iraida Yusupova.
The opera “Once at the Museum…” is a joint project of the Department of Musical Culture of the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkin (project idea, libretto) and CEV “Museyon” (decoration). The heroes of the opera are transferred from our days to different eras and countries, get acquainted with the history of various styles in art, with the basics of the musical language (melody, rhythm, harmony). The opera bizarrely combines the realities of modern life (characters in computer games) and the motifs of famous ancient myths (about Orpheus and Odyssey), fairy tales by H. H. Andersen (The Snow Queen, The Nightingale) and medieval legends.
Both musicians and artists will create this evening - during the performance, children will create the scenery for the performance. The musical director and conductor is Anastasia Braudo. Premiere.
