Boris Davydov is the author of exhibitions dedicated to architectural Kazan. In the late 1970s, he was one of the first in Kazan to open the topic of female beauty. She was devoted to many of his photo exhibitions and albums. Davydov’s work has been awarded diplomas and diplomas more than once.
Boris Sergeevich Davydov was born in Kazan. He worked as a minder on a boat. The younger brother, leaving the army, left him his camera for the "family chronicle." Boris learned the lessons of his brother in developing and printing quickly and easily. Just quickly became seriously interested in photography. He even mastered correspondence courses in photography in Moscow. In search of work as a photographer, he went to Vorkuta, where he became a photographer on local television. Work in the North enriched Davydov’s creative baggage, he returned to Kazan with a large collection of vivid photographs. Joined the newly organized TASMA group. Very soon, he became one of the leaders of TASMA, striking and surprising colleagues with the boldness of compositions, unconventional thinking and bright light patterns. In his works, the least was a social orientation, but they were full of searches for form and lighting solutions. Talent and professionalism were manifested in all of his photo projects. He worked as a photographer in the Main Architectural and Planning Department of Kazan. Members of the TASMA group constantly met in his workshop.
The exhibition “Message to Friends from the Past Century” was organized by friends and colleagues of Boris Davydov in memory of a sensitive and sophisticated photographer. In the halls of the Gallery of Modern Art, about 90 works from the series “Reportage”, “Lattices”, “Women” and “Still Life” are presented.
The exhibition runs until August 14, 2016.
