ACADEM QUARTET String Quartet and EXPOSED Art Center present MUSIC AND PAINTING EVENING and invite you to July 9 at 20:00 for a free concert by artists of the Bolshoi Theater and the Philharmonic Orchestra in support of the exhibition “AQUAMENTALITY” watercolor painter Ivan Porkhachev.
Registration required!
Ivan Porkhachev is a Russian designer, painter, graphic artist whose solo exhibition opened at the EXPOSED art center in June. Using various technologies and materials in his work, the author gives the main place to watercolor technique, which allows us to convey in a pictorial language our feelings and impressions of what we saw and set aside in our memory: bridges in New York, views of the Bosphorus, Venice and Florence, native landscapes of Russia. With the help of watercolors, the artist creates unusually light and bright images of various corners of the world, allowing viewers to feel the atmosphere and mood that they feel.
As part of the musical evening, Leonid Polyakov (violin), Anna Yanovskaya (violin), Vasily Danilets (viola), Mikhail Lebedev (cello) will support the exhibition. The program includes performances by Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Beethoven. The concert is conducted by Alexander Stefanov.
“I like to compare watercolors with music: music is volatile and elusive, it passes through musical instruments and gives rise to different images. Also watercolor: this elegant and delicate technique, transparent and light, passing through the artist’s hands, through his brush, like music, can give birth to images and convey feelings, ”says artist Ivan Porkhachev.
Together with the concert, guests will be able to see more than 50 different-format paintings by the artist. All exhibited works can be purchased.
Collection of guests at 19:00.
