March 15 at 16:00 in the Manor of V. P. Sukachev (December Events St., 112) will open a personal exhibition of Albina Holiday "Openwork Egg". The exhibition is dedicated to the celebration of the Holy Sunday of Christ. The exposition includes more than 120 items of decorative and applied art made using the Eggshell Carving technique (shell carving).
Eggshell carving is a long and painstaking process that requires perseverance, attentiveness and sharp eyesight. A wide variety of techniques are used for decoration: engraving, sculptural carving, isothread (thread design), appliqué, three-dimensional carving, mosaic, embroidery. The exhibition presents both a series of works "The Zodiac Circle", "Old Irkutsk", "Views of Baikal", as well as individual works that amaze the imagination with the subtlety and fragility of the material. Shell carving can be compared to the work of a jeweler.
Albina Prazdnichnykh is a journalist and editor by education, she is engaged in painting, arts and crafts, including egg shell carving. In 2020, she took 1st place in the DPI competition held by the Hermes Moscow Center for her work Openwork Egg and received a diploma for Mastery and Creativity.
The Openwork Egg exhibition will open on March 15 at 4:00 pm at V.P. Sukachev’s Estate (112 December Events Street) and will run until May 14. Entrance to the opening is free. Phone for inquiries: 53-12-24. Ticket price: adults - 300 rubles, preferential categories - 200 rubles. The exposition will be available on the "Pushkin map".
