June 20, 2019 Gallery A3 of the Association “Exhibition Halls of Moscow” in conjunction with the art group Rabota open the exhibition “Autoarchaeology. Marika Krasina and Anton Krivulya. Art group Rabota. "
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the work of artists Marika Krasina and Anton Krivuli, belonging to the performative culture, and in the process of creating the work is fixed as continuous action. Artists constantly participate in major forums of contemporary culture, carrying out their actions in parallel programs and commenting on the most important artistic events.
Members of the Rabota group Marika Krasina and Anton Krivulya have been working together since 2014, moving around the world without long stops. The basis of this work is the practice of dialogue, which forces one to go beyond the framework of psychological integrity and find universal objects for artistic consideration.
In the project "Autoarchaeology", artists consider their personal belongings in an archaeological perspective, trying to unravel the sacred meaning of the action committed by themselves. Leaving Moscow last summer, Marika and Anton decided to bury all their things - there was nowhere else to store them: paintings, drawings, books, furniture, equipment, musical instruments, clothes, art materials, dishes and every little thing were tied, packed and buried in field near Mozhaisk. This treasure will form the basis of the performative installation of the exhibition. With the help of electronic transformations, Rabota will make things talk, and they, who have been lying for months in the earth, will most likely have something to tell.
