Art project "Pioneers" by Irina Volgareva at the "Tea Factory" Automatic translate
The art project “Pioneers” is nostalgia for the distant and the forgotten. People on postcards, always joyful, as if they have complete confidence that they live in a better time, at the time of universal joy and prosperity. Carved from postcards, figurines of children, the pioneer camps and multi-colored packages, as a symbol of the new time, swallowed them up and made ghostly - all this evokes reminders of that era. The touching images of boys and girls that the whole country remembered are just that and it seems that looking at them, we still hear laughter.
The author first presents his work in Odessa. Being a Russian artist, currently lives in the city of Kharkov (Ukraine).
Irina Volgareva, a new generation artist who has neither relation nor connection to the reality of Soviet ideology. The question arises, what prompts the author to turn to "Soviet mythology"? Today in the post-Soviet space, from year to year, more and more contemporary art projects are exploring the cultural codes of “Soviet mythogenesis”.
In my opinion (Vaclav Yutash-Zyuzin), as a curator, perhaps in our society the need arose to abandon vestiges of the “scoop” mentality or is
the development of the artistic language of modern art addressed to the older generation? I propose finding my answer to art critics and the audience, because the place in this "dialogue" remains vacant.
