The competition accepts works based on an image characterizing a given person as a person. At the same time, both a naturalistic display of a person and all kinds of experimental forms are allowed. The author independently chooses the artistic means necessary to create a portrait - painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative art, photography or video.

Each artist can submit any number of works to the competition. If a series is submitted to the competition, then one portrait work (competition work) may include a series of works united by one theme.
