Anna Lapygina loves to work from nature, trying to capture in her works the shaky feeling of the moment: rapidly changing light, light twilight, air heated by the sun, and the rapid movement of clouds.

A. Lapygina works almost exclusively in pastels - a technique that is good for both quick plein-air sketches and serious studio work, and allows you to achieve a clear color sound, slightly softened by the matte, velvety texture inherent in pastels.

In the exhibition, in addition to landscapes, several children’s portraits are presented. And this is even natural, because, according to the artist herself, she and her husband, artist Dmitry Selivanov, began to actively travel precisely with the birth of children, and they always go on trips as a large friendly family.

Anna Lapygina (b. 1980) studied at the art and graphics department of Vladimir State University, graduated from the Russian Academy of Arts (painting department), worked in St. Petersburg as a theater artist, participated in several monumental projects. Member of the National Union of Pastelists of Russia, participant of numerous exhibitions, has many awards and prizes, teacher.
