Art Gallery "Manufactory" invites you to the opening of the exhibition with the intriguing title "Ambivalence".
The author of the paintings is artist Victor Chumachenko.
A series of submitted works was written specifically for the exhibition in Kiev art space. The guests of the vernissage will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the new artworks of the author.
"Ambivalence" in psychology means the simultaneous existence of two opposite feelings for the same object. These are two opposing forces that live in each of us and conduct daily continuous conversation among themselves.
Most of the painter’s paintings are figurative compositions built on contradictions and contrasts. This is manifested in everything: in the ambiguity of the plot of the paintings, in the interaction of the heroes, in their internal dialogues. The artist plastically comprehends the themes of eternal confrontation and, at the same time, the attraction of different sexes and generations, as well as feelings on the verge of love and rejection.
Viktor Chumachenko’s work is a kind of study of the relationship between men and women of different ages: their conflicting feelings, stresses, sexual and aesthetic love, as well as landscapes and natural phenomena that affect the character and emotions of characters captured in its picture plane.
“Everything that I do is created for my own pleasure. In order to feel my body, I have an internal dialogue. ”
The author talks about the inconstancy of human nature and that even a breath of wind can give rise to the plot of the picture.
Victor Chumachenko’s works adorn private collections and creative spaces around the world.
You can join the philosophical thoughts of the artist about the eternal and listen to your inner dialogue until November 15.
