The first thing that caught my eye was huge snow-covered fields, among which rare houses towered like mountains in a gorge. This feeling of emptiness, extension, openness of space, as the artist, poet and local resident Dmitry Prigov said, has always been strong and vibrant. Sometimes - overwhelming, sometimes - inspiring, depending on the situation and your own mood. I liked to be left to my own devices and spend time on the street: wandering around, getting lost, looking for some special places, fortunately, the territory allowed. ”

Turning into a pedestrian and observer of herself, her everyday environment, and also the daily life of the area, the author kept a visual diary with the help of a polaroid, took photographs and sketches, collages, mental maps of the area, made walking routes and guided tours. In two years of work on the project, Alla Mirovskaya spent more than three hundred hours on the street, exploring the area of ​​the district, studying it from different angles, overcoming the standard route, trying to turn routine into a creative and cognitive act. The more she watched and learned about how it was created, how the area lived, how it changed over time, the more distinctly something else emerged behind the panel facade of the "sleeping bag". The place gradually opened in its entirety and originality. As if the artist had a different vision.
