Alexander Kott takes part in the exhibition PEKShot Automatic translate
Director Alexander Kott, known for the films Trotsky, Yolki, Brest Fortress, presented his work as part of the exhibition of film and advertising masters PEKShot 2019, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of VGIK.
In a series of metaphysical landscapes, the author explores the boundaries of human perception, plays with reality and makes people believe in the impossible.
According to the director, photography for him is a space for personal creativity. “This is, so to speak, just for hobby. Hobby! That which brings pleasure. There are no producers, no groups, you are not dependent on anyone. This creativity is personal, because it is only yours, ”Alexander Kott explained.
In addition to photographs taken by modern directors and advertisers, the exhibition PEKShot presented the work of graduates and teachers of past years - Sergei Parajanov, Alexander Grinberg and Leonid Lazarev.
PEKShot exhibition takes place in the Gallery of Classic Photography from April 11 to June 9. Full ticket - 300 rubles, students - 200, preferential ticket - 150 rubles. WWII veterans - for free.
