The Moscow Museum of Modern Art, together with the Triumph Gallery, present an exhibition by Alexander Dashevsky "Die Schere im Kopf *", which will combine works from different years and new works by the artist - painting, graphics and objects.
Formally, the project is based on reflections on memory and various forms of memorialization, their complexity and ambiguity. The exposition of the exhibition is built on the principle of double reading and resembles the sequence of stages of acceptance of loss. In the context of the exhibition, losses are not just a metaphor, but also a literal technical device - they appear both in the works themselves and in the exhibition space. Physically missing fragments of works, images of lost details, lost or erased parts of texts - all this makes the viewer think about the present innuendo and offers an alternative way of reading the dramaturgy of the project. The ambivalent construction of the exhibition becomes a kind of puzzle, solving which the viewer is able to find several different answers.
