The festival is positioned as a professional festival, despite the fact that the majority of its participants and spectators are young people.
The 6th All-Russian festival of short films “ARTKINO” is held in two stages. The first stage was held from September 24 to September 29, 2013 in Moscow, the second stage - from October 10, 2013 (to the present moment) the rental of the festival began in 50 cities of Russia and the CIS. The task of the second stage is to determine the winner of the Audience Choice Award. In 50 cities of Russia and the CIS, in cinemas, on the sites of the virtual branches of the Russian Museum, festival screenings and spectator voting will be held, according to the results of which the winner will be announced.
As part of the competition program, four short films will be presented:
No. 1 “ANIMAL”: “Swing”, “The art of communicating with animals and people”, “The Seagull”, “Alkhas and Juliet”;
No. 2 “MEN”: “Primitive Dad”, “Decide on…”, “Father”, “Shoes”, “Last battle”, “Lost”, “Diary of a young doctor”;
No. 3 “FEMALE”: “Pishto is leaving”, “CANDY”, “Holivar”, “Verification”, “Zhenechka”, “Not less than 50 kg”, “Snowflake”, “Chippendale”;
No. 4 “UNREAL”: “Mirror Hall”, “Something”, “Savior”, “Bride”, “Click”, “LIFE AFTER…”.

On September 23, 2014 in Moscow, during the opening of the next, 7th ARTKINO festival, the All-Russian Award for the Best Short Film of 2013 will be awarded based on the results of the rental tour and the vote of film academics.
