The exhibition "25th frame" will allow you to see how the skill of the film artist is formed in the process of his training. The viewer will get acquainted with the masters of the unique school of film artists created at St. Petersburg State University by the St. Petersburg artists Pyotr Petrovich and Larisa Pavlovna Konnikov. Through their efforts, in 2007, a unique creative team of teachers was assembled at the Department of Artistic Cinematography. Known not only in St. Petersburg, but also outside of Russia - film artists, painters and graphic artists came to the department to teach students how to create new cinema based on the spirit of freedom and imagination.

Learning from their teachers to think figuratively at the concept level, students create not just traditional film sketches, but pictorial concepts of educational productions and possible films. In each drawing and painting task, they learn to simultaneously see the dramaturgy, character and plasticity of any detail from a button to a large-scale space, they show themselves as potential directors, screenwriters and cameramen.

The exhibition will feature works by well-known St. Petersburg artists: Pyotr Konnikov, Pyotr Tatarnikov, Andrey Vetrogonsky, Latif Kazbekov, Evgeny Sverdlov, Dmitry Flegontov, Natalya Belova, Olga Gerr, Boris Zinkevich. There will also be an opportunity to see sketches for films by leading film artists: Vladimir Svetozarov, Larisa Konnikova, Alexander Zagoskin, Inessa Snezhkina, Ekaterina Shapkaits, Leonid Karpov.
