7th Arte Laguna International Prize in the Arsenal of Venice: 110 finalists will be presented at the exhibition March 17–31 Automatic translate
For the fourth year in a row, the Venetian Arsenal opens its doors to the finalists of the Arte Laguna international award: from March 17 to March 31, in Arsenale di Venezia, the works of 105 artists from around the world will be exhibited, selected in the disciplines: Painting, Sculpture and Installation, Video Art and Performance, Photography.
Also, 5 works in the Virtual Art category will be presented at the new Telecom Italia Future Center venue, a stone’s throw from the Rialto Bridge.
Another group of finalists - young artists under 25 will be exhibited at the Romanian Institute of Venice, with an impressive showcase in the direction of the tourist flow to San Marco.
During the opening ceremony, Saturday, March 16th, 5 absolute winners in each discipline will be announced. Each of them will receive a bonus of 7.000 Euro. The names of the winners of special awards will also be announced, among which are participation in national festivals and exhibitions, personal exhibitions in 21 galleries around the world, which are part of the international network created by Arte Laguna, the Business for Art Award, which includes cooperation with companies- investors in art, selection in 6 art residences in Venice, in Vicenza, in Basel, in Ptuj (Slovenia), in Mumbai and in Beijing.
The total amount of premiums reaches 180,000 Euros.
The following events are expected on exhibition days:
• On Sunday, March 17, Arsenal, at 11.30 - viewing the exhibition with a guide, debates with guests and authors
• On Sunday, March 17, the Romanian Institute, at 15.00 - the opening of the exhibition “Under25”, interviews with young artists
• On Saturday, March 23, Telecom Italia Future Center, at 15.00 - the meeting "New ways to make art and new technologies"
On Saturday, March 30, Arsenal, the meeting “New use of former industrial sites”
