On March 11, the Exhibition Halls of Moscow association launched the educational media program Keys to Contemporary Art Automatic translate
Exhibition halls cease to be solely venues for exhibitions and art events, and are increasingly becoming multifunctional centers capable of hosting diverse projects within their walls. Now in the exhibition halls it will be possible not only to look at art, but also to learn to understand it.
The educational program began with a two-month course of lectures and master classes on contemporary art from leading theorists and contemporary artists. This course is aimed at a wide audience and takes place on the sites of three exhibition halls at once: “On Kashirka”, “Peresvetov Pereulok”, “Gallery of the XXI Century”.
The course of lectures is presented by an expert in the field of contemporary art - an artist, curator, laureate of the Innovation 2008 Prize, author of the book “The Artistic Culture of the Urals,” Arseny Sergeev, head of the ArtPolitika School of Contemporary Art. During the classes, the audience will be able to get an idea of the specifics of contemporary art, including using the languages of new media.
The course of master classes includes three author’s, specially designed interactive programs from famous artists, each of which will conduct his course on the site of one of the halls.
“On Kashirka”: Roman Minaev presents the study “Honor Board. Up-to-date. "
“Peresvetov Lane”: Roman Mokrov - “A New Look”.
"Gallery of the XXI century": Anastasia Ryabova - "Diary of observation of the area."
During the course of the master classes, the audience will receive first-hand knowledge of the methods and language of contemporary art and will be directly involved in the process of its creation.
