What is OKPD2 Automatic translate
OKPD – All-Russian classifier of products by type of economic activity. The current version of the classifier was adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation in 2014 to replace the previous one, OKPD. The new version is closer to the European one, adopted in the European Economic Community before the emergence of the European Union.
The classifier covers all goods and services produced in the Russian Federation, matching them with codes that are used when adopting regulations, calculating statistical data, participating in government procurement and regulating foreign economic activity.
OKPD2 differs from OKPD in its wider coverage of goods and services, and externally it can be identified by the absence of letter indicators used in the previous edition of OKPD (previously the code began with a letter indicating the section; in OKPD2 letters are no longer used, only numbers).
The manufacturer of the product must indicate the exact OKPD2 code, for example, to participate in government procurement.
Regulatory acts regulating the release of goods and the provision of services refer to classifier codes. There are specialized Internet services that allow you to check OKPD 2 for presence in regulations and Government Orders.
Now in the Russian Federation there are a number of all-Russian classifiers, for example, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is responsible for the following classifiers:
- All-Russian Classifier of Economic Regions (OKER)
- All-Russian Classifier of Types of Economic Activities (OKVED 2)
- All-Russian classifier of products by type of economic activity (OKPD 2)
The Federal Tax Service uses:
- Commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS FEACN)
- Unified Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU CN FEA)
- All-Russian Classifier of Municipal Territories (OKTMO)
- All-Russian Classifier of Organizational and Legal Forms (OKOPF)
- All-Russian Classifier of Units of Measurement (OKEY)
- All-Russian Classifier of Forms of Ownership (OKFS)
- All-Russian Classifier of Objects of Administrative-Territorial Division (OKATO)
- All-Russian Classifier of Population Information (OKIN)
- All-Russian Classifier of Management Documentation (OKUD)
- Classifier of types of entrepreneurial activities in respect of which the law of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation provides for the use of a patent taxation system (CPTS)
- All-Russian Classifier of Folk Art Crafts and Places of Traditional Living (OKNHP)
All classifiers are built on a single tree principle, going deeper from general sections to more precise descriptions. For example, OKPD2 consists of the following sections: Class, Subclass, Group, Subgroup, Type, Category, Subcategory.
