Vatican unveils updated museum site Automatic translate

VATICAN. The Vatican has introduced an updated website with a simple, but at the same time more elegant and sophisticated design. The site is available on any type of device, with any operating system.

Until now, the site of the Vatican Museum has been visited by more than six million people every year. The site mainly provided information on events, work schedules and attendance prices. The updated site is similar to the site of a modern large museum, with a catalog of the Vatican Museum collection and high-resolution photographs.

The site is available in five languages: Italian, English, Spanish, German and French. At the moment, it has 13 thousand pages, more than 3,000 images, 77 videos and offers the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the museum. The Vatican administration promises that it will continue to work to improve the site.

The presentation of the new website coincided with the arrival in January of the new director of the Vatican Museum, Barbara Jatta, who had long served as an assistant manager. The new director promised in the near future to realize the possibility of a virtual visit to the Sistine Chapel.
