Monumentalists painted an entire urban area in Puerto Rico Automatic translate
The work of the world’s most famous monumental artists will adorn the walls of buildings in the Santurce area as part of the Los Angeles Murals hablan, the city’s first art festival, talking in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Among the countries represented at the festival are Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Bulgaria, Belgium, etc.
Analysts have already noted how admirable the work of the 24-year-old Spanish artist Aruz, depicting a Neanderthal man with a stick and an American flag wrapped around his hips on the wall of a four-story building. Aruz, who came from Barcelona, noted that the point of the picture was not to use the US flag in such a specific context. “Flags are just badges that don’t affect anything,” he said. The work was done with the usual paint roller, while experts note the extraordinary purity of the color palette.
Alexis Diaz, a Puerto Rican artist and, concurrently, one of the organizers of the event, said that he feels excited, as many works have already been identified by experts as the best in their field. “I am very proud that we were able to do this in my country and in my area, and I am very glad that people appreciated and accepted our project,” Diaz said.
Diaz also told reporters that to participate in the project, first of all, he invited his friends and those artists whom he had to deal with at international exhibitions.
Most of the work is located on the buildings of the main streets of the Santurce district, reaching 4-5 floors.
Festival organizers have already shared plans to turn the event into an annual event.
