Two Frankfurt museums host exhibitions of Jeff Koons Automatic translate

Artist ”, consisting of forty-five works, and focused on the development of the artist as a painter. And Liebieghaus opens the exhibition “Jeff Koons. Sculptor ”, which presents forty-four world-famous as well as completely new sculptures that enter into dialogue with historical buildings and span five millennia of history. Antique Jeff Koons - a new series of works in which the author explores ancient art and its central motif - Eros - will debut in Frankfurt this summer.

In his paintings and sculptures, Jeff Koons uses elements from the consumer world and “high culture”. In this context, he has become an unsurpassed master of the interaction between the sublime and the banal.

Jeff Koons was born in York, Pennsylvania in 1955. He studied at the Art College of the Mereland Institute in Baltimore and at the art school of the Institute of Chicago. He is today one of the most famous contemporary artists in the world. His works are in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, the Stegelik Museum in Amsterdam, the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, and others. In addition, he has been represented internationally in numerous solo exhibitions. Koons has been awarded many awards for his art and broad social activities. His sculptures adorn many cities, and the monumental flower sculpture Puppy (1992) is incredibly popular all over the world.
