Dali Museum May Become Part of UNESCO World Heritage Automatic translate
Museum complex dedicated to the artist Salvador Dali , which includes the Theater Museum in Figueiras, the Port Ligatt House Museum in Cadaqués, and the Gala Dali Castle in Pubol, forming the so-called Dali Triangle, could become part of UNESCO World Heritage.
The candidacy of the museum complex, the general management of which is carried out by Carme Polo, was presented today to the mayors of the three cities in which the museums themselves are located.
Santi Vila, mayor of Cadaqués, explained that the proposal was submitted to the Government of Catalonia, and after its approval will be sent to the Government of Spain. This should happen this fall. He explained in detail that the Ministry of Culture of Spain will promote the candidacy of the museum triangle at UNESCO, despite the fact that there are other honored nominees. To win, it is necessary to submit a project proving the universality, exclusivity and authenticity of the museum complex.
Carme Polo, the mayor of Figueiras, is confident that the Dali Museum will no doubt meet all the requirements of UNESCO. Polo noted that the Dali Foundation has done a great job of preserving the heritage of the great Spaniard, whose work is of great interest throughout the world.
If so, the Dali triangle will be declared part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage in 2014.
