For four months, a team of twenty people worked on the statue, using official jubilee photographs as an image, where Elizabeth II appeared at the celebrations as head of state. According to the representative of the museum, the new wax image of the monarch’s person is a “warmer and more gentle” version than a decade ago.
The wax figure is estimated at 150,000 pounds (187,400 euros), in addition, it is decorated with a luxurious dress of silk and satin white with a blue stripe.
“When we announced that we were making a new Queen figure, people were moved. But there was great excitement, ”added a spokeswoman who expects the new creation to be as popular as the waxworks of Prince William and Catherine.
