Moscow Children’s Fairy Tale Theater opens the autumn season Automatic translate
The fairytale theater, which staged magical performances for children, is unusual even in appearance. The building of the theater - a castle of pale pink color, like an illustration from a book of fairy tales - is located in the Tagansky children’s park.
The cozy auditorium is designed for only 100 seats, and the seats of the armchairs can change height, so that it is convenient and clearly visible to every little guest. The theater’s repertoire includes performances for children of preschool and primary school age.
The premiere of September will be the play "I will not ask for forgiveness." This is a touching story about a child who, getting into different life situations, comes to the conclusion that MOM is the main thing in his life and that mom needs to be loved…
Apologize? Never! After all, it is clear to any child that ice cream for breakfast is better than semolina. And if so, then the easiest way is to leave home and live as you want. And the fairy tale gives the wayward Vovochka the opportunity to actually experience what it means to live without a mother, her care, tender hands…
This is how the little viewer gets the fabulous lesson he needs. The task of the theater is not only to entertain, but it is imperative to make you think, sympathize with what is happening. Any fairy tale prepares a person for adulthood.
From the already favorite performances, viewers will see interactive performances based on classic fairy tales: "The Enchanted Forest", "The Frog Princess", "The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors", "Cinderella".
For the performances of the Fairytale Theater, rather complex hapite-reed puppets are made, each of them is unique, the only one in the world. Children and adults from the very beginning forget that in front of them is a doll controlled by an actor. Only with your heart you can revive a character and give him your soul! It turns out that the actor is the Soul, and the doll is its body, and there is no way to separate them. Everyone believes that all this - real, living - takes the viewer on an exciting journey throughout the entire performance, forcing him to sincerely participate in events and even influence their turns.
Mikhail Nikolaevich Milenin, Chief Director of the Children’s Fairy Tale Theater:
“The art of controlling a cane puppet is a difficult and rare genre, aerobatics in puppet theater, as in dance - ballet. Firstly, it is very difficult physically - the dolls themselves are heavy and you have to constantly move with them: run, jump, lie, kneel, crawl, dance with the doll. And while still singing live and talking to the audience.
And secondly, only the one who puts the doll above himself can become a puppeteer actor. Do you know Stanislavsky’s famous phrase that you need to love art in yourself, and not yourself in art? So, those actors who are looking for fame and recognition psychologically will not be able to work in a puppet theater. "
Irina Petrovna Milenina, artistic director of the children’s fairy-tale theater :
“Each of our dolls is unique, unique in the world, priceless. Image, modeling, working with an artist - a doll for a performance can be created for months. Once I was upset to tears when one doll simply did not fit into the performance. The artist immediately told me: "Don’t worry, I’ll redo it." But throwing away the wrong doll was insanely pathetic. And it so happened that we donated it to the doll museum in Milan, where all the old dolls of the world are collected. There it is still perceived as a masterpiece.
We are often asked why the Moscow Children’s Fairy Tale Theater does not go on tour in Europe. After all, the Russian puppet theater is in great demand in Italy and France. The fact is that our theater is stationary, where everything is calculated to the millimeter - stage, sound, light, all kinds of special effects, multimedia fantasies, hall, interior, foyer, which delight young spectators. We can’t just put the dolls in a suitcase and get on a plane. We will need huge trucks to transport our decorations, equipment, personnel. In Europe, momentary performances from mobile street theaters are in demand… And this is not our story "
