The opening of the festival “23 days before the Victory” will take place on April 16, 2020 on the square in front of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army. On April 17, the performance “Drummer” based on the play by Athanasius Salynsky will be shown on the Great Stage of the Army Theater.

“Within the framework of the festival, the building of every Russian theater participating in it will be decorated with the symbol of Victory, the festival logo is a five-pointed star. On their stages, theaters will show performances about the Great Patriotic War, staged in different years. Readings of plays written about the war from 1941 to the present day will also take place at the Army Theater, ”says Alexander Kalyagin, Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers and People’s Artist of Russia.

During the days of the festival “23 days before the Victory,” the most significant hashtag in booklets, leaflets, on the sites of participating theaters will be the hashtag # 23 of the victory day. On the big screens in front of the Army Theater, as well as on its website, a countdown of the time “until the Victory is left… day” will be broadcast daily.

The festival will end on May 9 with a gala concert on the square in front of the Army Theater. The prefecture of the Central Administrative District organizes an action with field kitchens, Victory Lilacs and other events.
