The project "Open Stage" began work in the House of Actor of Nizhny Novgorod Automatic translate

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. A new project of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of STD was initiated at the initiative of Sergei Kabailo. In addition to working as an actor in a drama theater, a year ago, Sergey Kabailo became chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod STD. The project, called by its organizers “Open Stage”, was presented at the Actor’s House. The first performance of the project was a production created by the actor of the Theater of Europe Danila Mukhin.

The artist brought from St. Petersburg the play “Let me introduce myself”, which uses works written by Alexander Volodin, Sergey Dovlatov and Charles Bukowski. The performance took place in the House of the Actor on January 7. His show was a significant event in the theatrical life of the city.

Now theatergoers are waiting for the performance promised by Polina Sidikhina. As part of the "Open Stage" they will bring the play "Dialogues about…". The project organizers are negotiating with interesting groups from various cities, including in the long list of expected guests both metropolitan troupes and theaters of small towns.

The new theater project aroused interest among the media. Sergey Kabailo, answering their questions, emphasized that the House of the Actor is not available in all STD branches. Therefore, the presence of such wealth as an independent stage, becomes a motivation for acting and directing experiments. In state theaters, there are practically no such opportunities.

The project, prepared since the moment Sergey Kabailo entered the post of chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod STD, has been called a fairly well-known term. An “open stage” should become a platform supporting young names. The plans of the project include the creation of new, independent performances of small forms, as well as meetings of Nizhny spectators with invited artists.
