The festival of student films “PeterKiT”, which allows you to clearly announce your projects and find investors to promote them, is being held on the Neva banks for the 16th time. The jury headed by Yuri Mamin, like his predecessors in this post - Sergey Ovcharov, Alexey Balabanov, Gleb Panfilov, Vladimir Khotinenko - was impartial and insightful, so as not to miss the new Tarkovsky, Fellini, Formanov and Keslevsky. The famous journalist and writer Dmitry Bykov stood at the helm of the scenario jury.
At the closing of the festival on October 26, the names of the winners of the main and screenwriting competitions, as well as the winners of the pitching of film projects, were announced. The main prize, as well as the prize for excellent cinematography, was received by the documentary film Daria Blokhina “Lake”. In the director’s category, the creator of the cartoon “Fitzgerald and Birthday” Marie Lebedeva and the author of the documentary film “The Cell” Daria Markevich won. Vakhtang Dzhadzhanidze received an award for the best foreign film - “Exodus”. The first place in the scenario nomination was awarded to Alexander Yakubovsky (the painting “Do Not Look”). The student jury gave their preference to the animated film by Andrey Katsuba “Inner Light”. The greatest interest in the pitching of film projects was aroused by the work of Ilya Kostarev, a student in a drama workshop. The NATE project dedicated to the problems of teenage communication won three prizes at once. Among the winners of the pitching are the projects “Hello Sun” by Ivan Gubarev and “Wake Up” at the Youth Initiatives Center.
