MOSCOW. For the 34th time, Mark Rozovsky assembled a troupe of his theater to mark the beginning of a new season. The artists gathered on August 31 to congratulate each other on the new theater year. In the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate” the opening of the season always becomes a holiday, because Mark Rozovsky has people who are forever in love with the profession.

The artistic director of the theater is also uplifted - with apparent pleasure he voices the grandiose plans outlined for the upcoming season. The first spectators will come to the theater on the second of September. To be more precise, then to the theater’s courtyard, where the beloved “Songs of our yard” will sound again.

At the beginning of summer, the performance celebrated its 20th anniversary. However, there are no fewer people who want to meet wonderful actors, many of whom have been participants in this magnificent musical production for the past two decades. Each artist turns his performance into an unforgettable miniature performance, and the audience applauds delightedly after each song. There are no tickets for the next three performances.

Speaking at the troupe’s gathering, Mark Rozovsky recalled a trip to Yasnaya Polyana, where on September 10 they will show "Anna Karenina." At the end of September, the artists will go to Belgorod to the Shchepkinsky festival with the performance “The History of the Horse”.

In early October, the first premiere of the season. The comedy "Brothers", written by father and son Cooney, will first be presented to Moscow viewers. Two new premieres are scheduled for release before the New Year - a fantasy based on the story of Shukshin and a musical based on Maupassant. The plans for the second half of the season "Captain’s daughter" and an updated version of "Romeo and Juliet." New productions should be released on the Old Theater Stage. The director emphasized that the implementation of the plans depends on timely financing of the theater.
