The Academic Theater of Classical Ballet brought four performances to Sochi Automatic translate
SOCHI. Classical ballet masterpieces were brought to Sochi by the artists of the capital’s Classical Ballet Theater. The first performance shown on July 21 at the Winter Theater, where the tour takes place, was Swan Lake. The famous British stage designer Tim Goodchild worked on the design of this famous ballet performance. The basis of the production was the choreography of ballet, more than half a century included in the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theater.
The next day, connoisseurs of ballet art were lucky enough to see the unique ballet Spartak. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the play staged at the Classical Ballet Theater includes musical fragments written by Aram Khachaturian specifically for Spartak, however, they were not used in the production of the Bolshoi. The heirs of the composer provided the art directors of the theater, Vasilev and Kasatkina with a score of these fragments.
To introduce Spartak’s people to the way they look on their stage, the theater brought 300 costumes and unique decorations to Sochi, weighing six tons. A special game weapon used by ballet dancers in the play was ordered at a jewelry factory. Such a rich props is designed to embody the style of the scene, typical of the era of the brilliant decline of Rome.
Further, the Classical Ballet Theater will present the audience a magical tale filled with magic and romantic mystery. The Nutcracker will be shown on July 23 twice - day and evening. The end of the tour performances by the ballet Cinderella will end. Viewers will see this wonderful fairy tale story on July 24 - also in the afternoon and in the evening.
The tour of the Theater will not end yet - the theater will show the Nutcracker ballet on July 25, 26 at the Dagomys complex and in Krasnaya Polyana, on the stage of the Galaxy Hall.
