Therefore, the performance staged by Yuri Alexandrov takes place in a conditional modern city.

The director explains that many young artists work in the troupe of the theater, so their participation in the performances makes it possible for the theater to appeal to the younger generation of spectators. The creators of the play used modern costumes that made extras artists look like regulars of youth parties.

Among them, characters who are not present in the original version of the opera stand out, however, the audience remembered the images created by the artists. The prototypes of some of them were clearly our contemporaries. One of them, the visiting doctor-swindler, is perfectly played by Yuri Borshchev.

The main characters of the play performed by Olesya Gordeeva and Denis Zakirov look so natural in their roles that the audience does not doubt the authenticity of their feelings, although they express them with a little irony. Performers have not only excellent vocal abilities, but also easily move on stage, although the performance includes many dances that require a lot of effort from them.
