PSKOV. Theater named after Pushkin receives guests - participants of the festival "Other Art". The grand opening of the first festival in Pskov took place on May 11 at the Drama Theater. The ceremony began with the speech of one of the initiators of the birth of the festival - Dmitry Meskhiev, who is the director of the TKD of the Pskov region.

First of all, Dmitry Meskhiev read out a welcome address from Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation. In this message, he expressed confidence that the general public with the help of this festival will be able to learn about the unique creative achievements of people with limited physical abilities. The Minister wished the participants of the festival success in all their endeavors.

Present at the opening of the festival program, Andrei Turchak, governor of the Pskov region, noted that the birth of the festival “Other Art” was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of many people. The Governor expressed special gratitude to Andrei Tsaryov, Director of the Center for Clinical Pedagogy and Klaus Erbel, who heads the Pskov Initiative public organization.

At the end of the opening ceremony, the first production of the extensive festival program was presented. It was the work of the actors representing the theater studio "Me and You" - the play "The Carrier". The studio works at the Pskov Central Laboratory.

In various stages of Pskov, within four days, 17 groups will show their creative achievements, where professional artists and people whose capabilities are limited by various health problems work on equal terms. Festival participants represent not only Russian cities, but also Latvia, Sweden and Germany.

Admission to any of the festival events is free.
