Oleg Loevsky’s directorial laboratory has again begun work at the Youth Theater of Rostov-on-Don Automatic translate

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Before the start of the May holidays, the director’s laboratory, which was held in Novocherkassk, finished its work. Its result was a choice by the audience of all three sketches of performances proposed by young directors. Which of them will be the premiere of next season will be decided by the leadership of the Drama Theater.

Immediately after the holidays, the work of the creative laboratory of Oleg Loevsky at the Youth Theater of Rostov-on-Don began. The creative director’s laboratory is being held at the Youth Theater for the fourth time. These projects have replenished the theater’s repertoire with successful performances that are popular with viewers.

However, the work of the new experimental laboratory, in comparison with previous projects, is built on a different principle. If earlier directors worked on sketches of performances based on plays by little-known authors, now in their work they turned to the most read of Russian writers - Chekhov.

Rehearsals of the productions began on the first day of the laboratory’s work - May 10, and the next day, Rostov theater critics and journalists came to the Youth Theater to meet with the participants in the director’s laboratory. Three directors who arrived in Rostov-on-Don have a solid creative experience.

Vladimir Smirnov, a Moscow director, is preparing for the screening of "Flowers Belated." Pavel Zobnin, who also came from the capital, will show his reading of Kashtanka, and Radion Bukaev, the chief director of the Benefis theater from the city of Yelets, turned to The Lady with the Dog. Sketching will take place on May 13 and 14. A traditional discussion of performance sketches will take place after each show. Spectators will appreciate the skill of the directors and the talents of the artists of the Youth Theater. Which of the sketches will be the premiere in your favorite theater depends on the choice of the audience.
