YAROSLAVL. For the eighth time, graduates of theatrical universities of the country gather in Yaroslavl to show their skills at the festival "The Future of Theater Russia". Starting April 18, representatives of 14 theatrical universities of the country will present diploma performances on the stage of the Volkovsky Theater.

However, regional theaters claim that on the periphery, young actors have much more opportunities for creative growth. This year, graduates of theatrical universities are expected in Surgut, Tver and Nizhny Novgorod regions. Representatives of these regions came to the festival to offer graduates work in their troupes.
The opening of the festival took place in the hall of the theater. Volkova, where congratulations and wishes of good luck to the BTR participants from prominent theatrical figures were voiced, among whom was Igor Zolotovitsky, rector of the Moscow Art Theater School. On the first day of the festival, YAGTI students showed their skills, presenting the fabulous comedy "Clever Matryona" in the educational theater.
For the evening performance, prepared by students of VGIK, the Volkovsky Theater provided its stage. Vgikovtsy brought to Yaroslavl the production of Jean Anouil’s play “Orchestra”. Festival meetings will last until April 24th.
