KRASNODAR. On March 3, the premiere of the play “Sky Runaways” staged by Nizhny Novgorod director Vladimir Kulagin took place at One Theater. However, the closest friends of the theater managed to get acquainted with the new work of Vladimir Kulagin a little earlier, when the pre-premiere show of the performance took place on March 1.

Krasnodar theatergoers are already familiar with the work of the director. In 2010, the play “Quiet words of love” staged by Vladimir Kulagin appeared in the repertoire of the Drama Theater. Now the acquaintance continues with a production based on the works of Bunin. This is not an ordinary dramatization, composed of several stories of the writer. The director called the play theatrical improvisation.

Vladimir Kulagin created a story devoted to emigration, together with Krasnodar artists who became performers of roles in the play. The performance was based on two stories included in the famous collection “Dark Alleys”. "Cold Autumn", previously not used in any performance based on Bunin’s stories. The second was the story "In Paris", where we are talking about emigration.

In addition to these works, another 12 fragments from other Bunin’s stories were used to create the play. For some viewers, this performance will be the discovery of Bunin, because now in the theaters of the city his works are not. "One Theater" presents this author first. For those who are well acquainted with the writer’s work, it will be nice to see that the performance contains the most striking pages from Bunin’s stories.

Of the three actors on the stage in the play, the director collaborated with Evgenia Belova and Roman Burdeev earlier, when he staged the play five years ago at the Drama Theater. For Vitaly Borisov, the play “Sky Runaways” was the first work with Vladimir Kulagin.
