The festival "CHELEVEK THEATER" opens in the New Drama Theater of Chelyabinsk Automatic translate

CHELYABINSK. For the fourth time, participants in the international festival CHELEVEK THEATER gather in Chelyabinsk to show small forms and find out how professional experts evaluate their work.

Eugene Gelfond, artistic director of the festival, believes that the discussion of the participants’ work, which takes place after each of their performances on stage, is the most important component in the work of the theater forum. Among the representatives of theatrical groups who arrived at the festival, there is no competition, because there are no awards in it.

During the festival laboratory, each of the performances presented will be professionally evaluated by experts specially invited to participate in the work of the CHELOEVEKA THEATER. There were a considerable number of people wishing to show their creativity at the Chelyabinsk festival - its organizers considered about a hundred applications. However, in the festival poster there were only 13 performances.

In order to have time to show the works of all the participants during the festival, three stage venues were provided for the festival screenings, creating a poster so that everyone could see the entire program of the festival. Between the theaters where the performances will be held, for the spectators, free buses run.

The festival opens on February 26 at the New Drama Theater. The first to show their work are the artists of the Drama Theater. M. Gafuri, who arrived at the festival from Ufa. They will show a documentary drama - the play "Jute", which takes place in two places - in the thirties of Kazakhstan and today’s Moscow. During the performance, the artists use two languages. Moscow speaks Russian, and in Kazakhstan, artists use the Bashkir language.
