MOSCOW. For the first time on the Russian stage, the theater on Malaya Bronnaya presented the play “Rabbit Hole”, written by the American playwright David Lindsay-Eber. For this play, created in 2005, the playwright received the Pulitzer Prize.

A year later, the play was staged on Broadway, and actress Cynthia Nixon for her role as Becky (the main character of the play) received a prestigious award - the Tony Theater Award. In 2010, the same role was played by the famous Nicole Kidman in the film adaptation of the play.

Now “Rabbit Hole” in the stage version of Sergei Golomazov, the artistic director of the theater, has become available to Russian viewers. The translation of the play was made specifically for the theater “On Malaya Bronnaya” by Valery Gumenyuk. Since February 12, the repertoire of the theater has replenished the performance - on this day it was presented to the public.

The audience was looking forward to the premiere. The play "Rabbit Hole" interested the audience not only as a dramatic family story, always evoking empathy from the audience. First of all, the performance was supposed to be a meeting with beloved actresses who were familiar from their work on the screen.

Starring Sergei Golomazov entrusted to Julia Peresild, for his work in the film awarded the prestigious Golden Eagle award. In the image of Izzy, the sister of the main character, the audience saw Nastasya Samburskaya. Participation in the popular TV series "Univer" brought the actress crazy popularity.

The collaboration of two popular actresses in the play "Rabbit Hole" has become extremely successful. Possessing polar temperaments, playing characters other than the heroines of the play in the movies, the actresses composed a magnificent creative tandem. Artist Nikolay Simonov worked on the design of the performance, and artist Olga Ryabushinskaya created costumes for the songs.
