MOSCOW. Once again, on the stage of the legendary “Taganka”, the gods who descended to the earth are looking for the only person who can be called truly good. The history of the theater began with the “Good Man from Cezuan”, the historical stage, officially opened after the repair, begins its work on January 31 with the same performance.

To the applause of the audience and the beat of the drums, Taganka artists returned to their native stage. For more than a year they worked on other people’s stages, and now they were met by the walls of their native theater. At first glance, special changes on the stage are imperceptible, however, the repair work that began in 2014 was significant.

Each of the work performed was important for the future life of the ancient theater building. Builders strengthened the supporting structures, walls and foundation of the theater. Particular attention was paid to the installation of fire fighting equipment. A small stage was opened in December and in the first month of work, two premieres were presented to the audience.

Now the time has come for the Old Stage to receive Taganka fans. Tickets for the "Good Man" were sold out, barely appearing at the box office of the theater. The performance over the past half a century has become a real mascot of the theater. During this time, he has not changed at all. The scenery, costumes, famous zongs - everything remained the same in the performance. He was kept as he saw the play of Brecht, Yuri Petrovich Lyubimov.

Very soon “Taganka will delight the audience with new works. On February 22, the premiere of Shakespeare’s tragedy “Coriolanus” is scheduled. Anna Potapova, a talented director and expert on Shakespeare, is working on the play. In June, viewers will see the play by Y. Pulinovich, “Elsa’s Land”, read by Julia Aug. On the Small Stage, viewers will see the performance “Petersburg”. Vyacheslav Tyshchuk is already working on the production of Andrei Bely’s novel.
