In the St. Petersburg Youth Theater twice they offered the audience an acquaintance with the work of Hoffmann. Each of the performances enjoyed success with the audience.

The gloomy mysticism inherent in the works of Hoffmann is to the liking of adolescents, who make up the majority of the audience of the Youth Theater. Adult theatergoers see much more in these performances than a terrible tale. Hoffmann wrote works where moral issues are revealed as much as possible.

The first performance based on the tale of Hoffmann was staged in the Youth Theater in the mid-nineties. Then the audience saw the production of the fairy tale "Baby Zahes." Once again, the theater turned to the Hoffmann’s legacy relatively recently - in 2013, the public presented the performance “The Nutcracker by Master Drosselmeyer”.

The last of the works of the great storyteller, staged in the St. Petersburg Youth Theater, was the play "Hoffmann. Visions. " Viewers saw its premiere on December 22nd. The play, directed by Ricardo Marina, invited from the Workshop Theater, was based on the Golden Pot fairy tale.

The director himself wrote a staging of this tale, and the choice of this work was not accidental for him. For both the theater and the director, the opinion of the author was important, arguing that for a person with a noble soul, it is impossible to commit acts against conscience.
