"The Tale of Lost Time" became a New Year’s gift to young theatergoers from the artists of the Kirov Drama Theater Automatic translate

KRASNOYARSK. Starting on December 26th, spectators rushed to the Kirov Drama in the evenings and early in the morning. The first performance of the New Year’s program began at half past ten in the morning. The artists of the theater were waiting for the young spectators to show them the production “The Tale of Lost Time” prepared by the director Zakhar Panteleev.

The older generation of viewers who were invited to the premiere of the play, this tale is well known by the movie of the same name, which was released in 1964. The story of children punished by turning into old men for wasting time, spectators of any age watched with pleasure several times.

Now this magical story, the interest in which has been tested by time, will delight young theatergoers. We included this tale in the New Year’s program for several reasons. It was such a performance that the Kirov schoolchildren wanted to see, who were asked to describe in their writings their wishes about what fairy tales should be put in the theater. The theater read more than two hundred works.

As a result, the Tale of Lost Time appeared in the repertoire. Another reason for the release of this performance on the eve of the New Year was the time when students became victims of four wizards. The story told in the play happened just before the New Year.

Not forgotten in the New Year’s program and adult viewers. In the morning, a wonderful gift was made to young spectators, and in the evening of that day the theater showed for the first time the poetic and musical program “Full Moon”. The main character of the performance, People’s Artist Natalya Isaeva, called him “revelations of love.” From the stage, interspersed with songs, sounded verses written by B. Akhmadulina, V. Dolina and the poetess I. Astakhova.
