The Theater "At the Bridge" singing in Russia presented the play "The Lost Child" based on the play of Sam Shepard Automatic translate
PERMIAN. The Theater at the Bridge was the first among Russian theater groups to appeal to the works of Sam Shepard, a contemporary American playwright. Last weekend, Sergey Fedotov presented his new work - the premiere of the performance “The Lost Child” staged by Sergei Fedotov based on the play of the same name written by Sam Shepard was held at the Most Theater. The head of the theater became not only the director of the play, but also his stage designer.
This premiere, Sergey Fedotov once again gives Perm audience the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of a playwright, extremely popular in the West, but little known in Russia. Sam Shepard, long recognized as a living classic, wrote about forty plays. Each of them is devoted to the problems of family relations.
The play, which was addressed in the theater "Near the Bridge" (its author’s name is "Buried Child"), represents the history of the male line of three generations, connected by a common secret. For this work, Sam Shepard received the most honorable literary award of the existing in the United States - the Pulitzer Prize.
The appearance of the play “Lost Child” in the repertoire of the Theater near the Bridge is not only a representation of Sam Shepard’s work to Russian viewers. With this performance, the theater first turns to the psychological thriller genre. Previously, fans of the theater of Sergei Fedotov did not see such performances here.
Bright and accurate play of artists makes the audience from the first moments of the stage action completely immerse themselves in the world of heroes described by Sam Shepard. It takes quite a bit of time for the audience to understand - these strange people who lived in the American backwater half a century ago are very similar to our contemporaries who solve family problems in such ways.
