About a thousand and a half times Japanese directors addressed the play “Acting Dressing Room”. Now the work of the popular playwright will be able to appreciate and Ryazan theater-goers.
The action takes place in the actor’s dressing room, which has become a meeting place for the ghosts of failed actresses. For each of them who previously worked as soufflers, the theater was a real home. Although one of them died in wartime and the other left this world because of a man, they share common feelings - a love for the theater and a dream for a role that could become the best in their life.
Her symbol for two dreamers becomes, played by one of the popular actresses, the role of Nina Zarechnaya from the famous Chekhov’s "The Seagull". However, the playwright, with the help of the monologues of the heroines of the play, reveals the inside of acting fame, ruthlessly shattering the illusions about life in the theater, which for many represents the temple of art.
The constant competition of artists, the fear of losing youth and popularity, in the plot of the performance complement the mysticism of murder. The play includes scenes and classical performances that give its plot a new meaning. The decoration of the theater thriller in the Ryazan drama was created by artists Tatyana Vidanova and Andrei Kozlov, and the author of the musical accompaniment was Sergey Potapov.
