MOSCOW. Theater "Practice" celebrated the first decade of its work. Eduard Boyakov, who opened this chamber in the basement on Mayakovskaya, planned to turn it into a center of modern dramaturgy. In 2005, when theatrical Moscow learned about the appearance of a new stage in the capital, the famous Gogol Center did not yet exist, the name "Stanislavsky Electrotheatre" was also not on the list of metropolitan theaters.

Recalling the first years of work, in "Practice" they say that they were waiting in their hall for everyone who is able to think and feel, even those who claim to be indifferent to the theater. Spectators were invited to poetry evenings and educational programs, discussions and meetings with interesting people. As a result, a new audience came to the theater, able to evaluate the work of the new collective.

Over the ten years that have passed since the opening of "Practice", viewers saw a substantial amount of premiere performances. Some of them became random episodes, but basically, almost every work of the artists of "Practice" became an event that determines the direction of the theater.

The Praktika Theater became the organizer of the Big Change and Texture festivals, students of the course of Dmitry Brusnikin worked on this stage, then organized their own theater. Artists of "Practice" do not forget about young spectators, creating excellent children’s productions for them.
