On the first festival day, both scenes were occupied by the hosts of the festival - the Lipetsk Drama Theater. Then, on the Big Stage, the actors of the Lipetsk Drama showed the first performance of the Lipetsk Theater Meetings program - The Death of Ivan Ilyich.

This directorial work of Sergei Bobrovsky over the years since its inception, has been a member of many theater festivals, where he has always enjoyed success. The story of a successful official described by L. Tolstoy a century and a half ago is still relevant today. In the reading of Sergei Bobrovsky, the play, solved in a modern style, turned out to be bright and impressive, and the story of the protagonist was filled with drama.

More than 160 people arrived at the festival, including not only artists, but also directors and theater experts. The festival program includes performances staged in Yelets, Penza, Taganrog, Tambov, Michurinsk and Moscow. The capital is represented by the famous "Theater in the South-West", offering theater-goers Chekhov’s "The Seagull". Moscow artists are invited to the festival in the form of guests of honor. They will close the festival on October 22nd.

Participants of the festival will also meet at master classes and workshops, where they will be able to hear unique presentations on topics related to theatrical art.
