European Film Academy has published a long list of applicants for the award Automatic translate

BERLIN. The award of the European Film Academy is popularly called the "European Oscar". More than 3,000 members of the academy annually by voting form a long, and then a short list of participants. This year, 3 films of Russian directors were immediately awarded the long list. This is the work of Andrei Konchalovsky, Alexei German Jr. and Ivan Tverdovsky. These films will have to compete with 49 other films for the right to be on the short list.

In past years, only one film, “Ugra is the Territory of Love” by Nikita Mikhalkov, was awarded the main prize of the European Film Academy. Other domestic films received awards for the best script, the best musical accompaniment, the best supporting role and the special prize - “Discovery of the Year”.

Last year, Konchalovsky’s film about the life of a provincial postman has already won prizes at the Venice Film Festival and the Golden Eagle award in the Best Screenplay nomination.
