YEKATERINBURG. Director of the Sverdlovsk Drama Theater Alexei Badayev on August 4 met with the troupe at the traditional casting of actors after the end of summer vacation. Only two weeks left before the audience met with their favorite artists. From the opening day of the new season until the end of September, theater artists will delight their fans with the best performances from the repertoire of the past season.

As previously planned, on October 2, the most devoted spectators will come to the theater to congratulate the troupe on its anniversary. On this day, the Sverdlovsk drama turned 85 years old. The first performance of the theater was the production of "First Horse", directed by P. Rudin based on the play by V. Vishnevsky.

To celebrate the anniversary in the theater took only one evening, since the next day the artists leave for the Crimea. They have to visit two Crimean cities - they will show their performances to the theatergoers of Yalta and Sevastopol.

Yekaterinburg artists will bring five performances to the tour, including the premiere of last season - “Profitable Place”. And the audience of Sudak will see the solo performance “In Sin - Oblivion…”, presented by the author of the project “Theater” Alexander Borisov.

The artists of the Sverdlovsk drama will return to their native stage on October 15th. Rehearsals of performances will be continued immediately, the premieres of which the audience will see at the end of November. Vladimir Pankov is preparing to present “Zoykin’s apartment” to the audience, and Vitaly Dyachenko is rehearsing the play “The Game of Gene”.

The theater is already preparing for the New Year’s Eve - rehearsals of the play "Peter Pan" have begun. He will be ready for the New Year holidays. The theater plans several more new works. Director Alexander Bargman will work on the play “Actress” by P. Quilter. This production will be the Russian premiere.
