OMSK. On July 30, the Omsk Musical Theater presented the public with the premiere of the ballet The Idiot, staged by choreographer Nadezhda Kalinina, invited from St. Petersburg. The basis of the ballet was the famous novel by Dostoevsky; the music of Peter Tchaikovsky was used for its musical component.

Spectators who did not take care of the premiere tickets in advance were disappointed - at the box office they could be offered only a few seats located in the last rows. The ballet performance begins in full accordance with the plot of the novel - Prince Myshkin returns to St. Petersburg after treatment in Switzerland.

The creation of the stage image of St. Petersburg was entrusted to Sergei Novikov. The production designer did an excellent job with the task before him. The stage space attracts attention with its color scheme, in which the artist used a variety of shades of gray - from silver to ashen, sometimes turning into black. However, just such a stage design does not distract the audience from the work of the theater ballet troupe.

The performance of the performance is very dynamic, the artists dance with full dedication, preventing the public from being distracted from what is happening on the stage. Prince Myshkin, the part of which was played by Sergei Flyagin, completely got used to the role of a not too healthy person. At times, he looks detached from what is happening on stage.

Scenes with the participation of the magnificent duet Nastasya Filippovna and Rogozhin look very bright. The premiere of the ballet “Idiot” can rightly be called a great success of the Musical Theater. The audience appreciated the work of directors and performers with thunderous applause, which lasted at least ten minutes, and a huge number of colors.
