MOSCOW. More than a month is left before the beginning of the anniversary season at the RAMT Theater, the 95th time waiting for spectators to open it, but the rehearsals of the upcoming premieres are in full swing. On August 1, representatives of the press visited the theater, where they were told what awaits RAMT fans in the anniversary season.
Rehearsals of the play “Northern Odyssey”, directed by director Ekaterina Granitova, were begun before the start of summer vacation. Now the work on the performance continues at an accelerated pace, since RAMT will meet its fans in the new, anniversary season with this production on September 18th.
Ekaterina Granitova has considerable experience in directing work in the theater and on television. While working as a teacher at the RATI, she simultaneously staged performances in Moscow theaters, and shot multi-part television films. The theaters watching the director’s work are aware of the first Russian production of the famous novel “The geographer drank the globe,” presented by Ekaterina Granitova under the title “History of the Mammoth”.
Now the audience will have to get acquainted with the play, the name of which refers them to a story written by Jack London. The events described by the talented scriptwriters A. Samoryadov and P. Lutsik take place in Russia, and the time of the action is the turbulent nineties.
Of particular interest to the audience is the musical accompaniment of the performance, written by a talented composer and performer Pyotr Nalich. He will also be a participant in the performance, performing songs in it, the texts of which are also written by a musician.
In the near future, two more premieres await the audience. Marina Brusnikina is working on a production based on plays by contemporary authors, and Inna Savronskaya will soon show on the small stage the play “Our anxiety winter” based on the novel by D. Steinbeck.
